Alpharetta, Georgia – Argon Corporation, a Spectra A&D Company, designing and manufacturing Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and customized rugged display monitors and computers, is pleased to announce that we have received a Firm, Fixed Price contract from a significant international customer to provide the mission displays, computers and keyboards for an airborne platform. The initial contract calls for design and qualification of the three configurations, along with full rate production over a 3-year period.
This significant order once more proves that the Argon solutions, bring a very high level of value to our customers and end users. As part of this program, Argon will develop a new, high powered Computing Brick, or ACB unit, housing an Intel i7 processor and Nvidia graphic card. All elements will be housed within a completely enclosed chassis requiring no internal fans or external cooling to meet the full temperature operating range.
The ARD21 model, pictured above, has become a WW standard for the C4ISR workstation display monitors, be it land, air or sea. In its various configurations, Argon has delivered over 6,000 of these units into more than a dozen applications. The ACB unit has been delivered WW in various quantities and configurations in support of our target applications and the current offering extends this product line.
